For a few years, I've stuck to my own devices. Created all my own content. Stayed within my safe space. And then the time came to get back out there. Share my story on podcasts. Submit my writings to publications. Widen my scope. Practice my confidence.
Part of "putting yourself out there" is describing who you are and how you got here. It's funny and awkward at times to mold the image of who you are. Updating your bio and accomplishments as you grow is an ever-changing process in and of itself. Deciding the story you want to tell about your life is also a real testament of SelfLove. I'm learning to acknowledge my progress, celebrate my accomplishments and relish how far I've come.
Here's a little bit about me, a writer and open-heart creative who's getting back out there, and loving who I am along the way . . .
I originally started my business as a freelance copywriter, because writing was the one thing I loved most and came the easiest. I had a burning desire to make something that was my own and work beyond rules. As I've evolved over the years, my business has become truer to who I am, and more expressive of my spirit. I worked in the holistic realm, using my experience with healing through food as an inspiration for others to care for their bodies. I got into live broadcasting and loved the rush of spontaneously expressing my ideas in real time. Now, my #1 focus is my true love: writing. I publish inspired writings on my micro blog and am currently working on my first book, Trying To Make It. I also help women entrepreneurs bring the sparkle in their writing through a service I call Writing Review.
My biggest ah ha hit me in the gut after three grueling years of trying to make it~ I realized it just wasn't working. So I stepped away from my business and into my life. I stopped all production (videos, blogs, emails . . . ) and went social media free for two months. I stripped down a broken biz model to begin building a dream. It changed everything.
My best advice for entrepreneurs: #DoYou. Create the space in your life to listen to your soul's calling and relentlessly nurture your belief in Self. Follow your own advice, because you and only you, know what dream you want to live.
